Adventures in Potty Training

The other day this girl:

Ran out of these:

Which is okay because we found some of these:

And now she's using this:

Mom and Dad feel like this:

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I also have decided to step up my mommy game. I'm pretty boring when it comes to away-from-home adventures and even the in-home kind. It's time to dial it up a notch. When my first plan for this failed, I quickly pulled out the back-up plan: The Dollar Movies. Lucky for them, Hotel For Dogs was playing. Armed with booster seats and popcorn, we ventured into the theater, unsure of how the next 2 hours would play out. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no fighting, whining, unusually obnoxious behaviors and no potty trips mid-movie. The kids loved the movie, and I loved them not tearing my house apart. All in all, a success.

What other things do people do with there kids? Looking for some new ideas.

Storytime at the library is fun. Also, Sweets candy factory does a free tour by appointment that my kids love (I'm sure it has nothing to do with the free samples!)

My kids love Trains!! So once in awhile we hop on Tracks and go downtown to the gateway to play in the water! We also used to have a pass to the Chldren's Museum "Discovery Gateway" They Loved that!!

hooray for underwear! Congrats! We like to talk walks on the greenbelt, go biking (we have a trailer to pull the kids behind). We build forts in the front room with cushions and blankets. Paige likes to have "picnics." My kids like to help me cook...I guess it's nothing more than just playing together...

Yay, Soph!
I think potty-training alone is stepping up your mommy game. :)
I think Cam said he watched that movie on the plane last week. Did you like it?

yeah for Sophie! What a big girl! I love the potty training moment, when you realize, hey no more diapers! I like making crafts with my kids, one time we made paper bag puppets, and it was a hit. I also take the kids to a new park every week in the summer, we have a lot of splash pads to check out this year!

Congrats Sophie, and Mom and Dad! That's awesome-no more diapers-I can only imagine how nice that must feel, and be on the budget!Well I'm not a pro on what to do with kids since I've only Tes so far, but I do know that I'll have to tag along with you on some of the fun things you do, since we're moving a bit closer to you soon!
