It's been a long while since I've done a poll. I've been wondering about the effectiveness of having a playroom, hence the poll to the right. Always, sometimes, never type surveys never tell the whole story, so feel free to share what works for your family and what doesn't with the kids play spaces. Thanks!

Our playroom disappeared today.
I hope it all works out cuz I changed everyone into new rooms.
Rethinking yours?
A little bit. Can't wait to see the new rooms at your house!
My kids don't play in their rooms, at all. They end up in the living room. I wish I had a place to say, this is the play room! :)
The kids play in there as long as I am in there, which kind of defeats the purpose. Sometimes they'll go in alone, but then I'm worried when I don't hear any noise so I go looking for them only to discover that my presence ruins the magic and they start following me around the house again. :) How do we fix this?
My kids prefer to just play in their bedrooms. We have a hard time getting them to play in the playroom. It's nice to have, but they won't play in it... especially if its in the basement.
I think that your votes will totally depend on where the playrooms are located. In my experience basement playrooms don't work well for small kids - they want to be closer to you. that's why we turned out 'family room' into a playroom (and then playroom + girls room) because it was only a few steps down from the kitchen/living area. it also helpd IMMENSELY with keeping their rooms clean, because the toys weren't up there.
